Kitchen Series

If you’re a fan of simple personality portraits, I’ve got something you might like. I’ve just added a new section to the site called the Kitchen Series. It’s a set of simple portraits shot on a white background where I try to bring out some aspect of the subject’s personality, emotions or current state of mind. Oh, and it’s called the Kitchen Series because two of the first three were shot in a kitchen and the third was shot in a living room.

When it’s finished, the Kitchen Series will be a set of 20 portraits. Check it out at chadmwest.com/kitchen-series.

New album, new model: Raj

Here’s my latest set. He’s an 18-year-old model from New Orleans. Although he’s just starting out (I was his second ever shoot), he’s extraordinarily professional and really eager to learn. He was a pleasure to shoot and gave me some pretty good photos.

New set with Shannon Nicole.

Hey people! I have a new set for you with a local model named Shannon Nicole. She was a pleasure to work with and turned out some great photos. I haven’t named the set, but it’s of her loitering around Jackson Square (in the French Quarter) dressed in a black tank top, black shorts, black ballet slippers and black angel wings.
