If you’re a fan of simple personality portraits, I’ve got something you might like. I’ve just added a new section to the site called the Kitchen Series. It’s a set of simple portraits shot on a white background where I try to bring out some aspect of the subject’s personality, emotions or current state of mind. Oh, and it’s called the Kitchen Series because two of the first three were shot in a kitchen and the third was shot in a living room.

When it’s finished, the Kitchen Series will be a set of 20 portraits. Check it out at chadmwest.com/kitchen-series.

3 Awesome Square Photo Borders

Have you ever wanted to spice up your photos with a neat border but couldn’t really find any that worked for you? Here’s a pack with three awesome square borders to add to your photos. Each is a 1000×1000 pixel JPEG image at 72DPI. The high-resolution 11MP files are available for purchase.

This pack of three borders comes with a Photoshop CS4 template file to get you started. It might work in earlier versions of Photoshop, but I haven’t tested it.
